Sean Hargrave – Freelance Journalist, Comms Specialist, White Paper Writer and Media Trainer
I trained at EMAP (remember them?) and then worked in London on consumer magazines. After spending the 90s as Innovation Editor at The Sunday Times, I have spent the last twenty years as a freelance journalist covering technology, start-ups and business issues for The Guardian, The Telegraph and supplements in The Times.
I specialise in helping organisations, such as the University of Oxford or NatWest, get their messages across through research-driven white papers, thought leadership, case studies and blogs – usually as part of a wider comms campaign.
I also have years of experience in digital marketing, writing for the likes of Campaign, Econsultancy, Marketing Week, The Drum and Mediapost.com, as well as the now-closed New Media Age.
All this puts me in a good place to hold relaxing, but informative, media training sessions where attendees learn the most valuable lessons in being interviewed. The mic is never off and it’s a chance for you to tell your story.
I moved out to the Oxfordshire countryside, near Oxford, when The Sunday Times’ Innovation section closed with my wife and, since then, three children and a Cocker Spaniel.
